WISCONSIN AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
MINUTES FOR THE MEETING OF  July 28, 2010


At 7:30 pm President Phil KC9CI called the meeting to order.

 

Bill WA9MXQ and Phil KC9CI presented a power point message authored by Dave Schornack W0AH. It further explains the emergency relationship with the Germantown Police Department and updates the Emergency Call-up procedure. See the attachments ARES + how Group 2 call works. Field Day results from ARRL will be reviewed for accuracy. The Wheeling for Healing event is August 14, 2010. The routes and stations were reviewed.  An intermission occurred at 8:30 pm.

 

The Regular meeting began at 8:45. There were 16 members and 1 guest, Paul Given N9PG, present. Paul has joined and we welcome him.

 

The April 28, 2010 minutes were approved by the membership upon a motion by Dick W9JBE seconded by Terry KA9RFM. The May 26, 2010 minutes were approved by the membership upon a motion by Terry KA9RFM seconded by John K9WUF.

 

Treasurer Neal WA9WYI reported the bank balance and cash on hand. Terry KA9RFM moved, John K9WUF seconded and the members voted to accept. Swap fest revenue was $590. Dayton income was $1190. Field Day costs were $150 for facilities at the Humane Society, $100.  Dinner, and $139. Lunch.

 

NEW BUSINESS –UHF/VHF ANTENNA AT GERMANTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT, Phil KC9CI announced a $1100 estimated cost to upgrade the antenna for installation at the Police Department.. Phil requested a motion to leave the existing repeater and antenna at Phil’s home. Dick W9JBE so moved, Bill WA9MXQ seconded, and the members voted to approve this motion. Therefore a prior motion, a few months past, for a uhf/vhf antenna was rescinded. DONATION FOR FOOD AT FIELD DAY—Phil KC9CI moved, Terry KA9RFM seconded and the members voted to rescind the prior motion asking for money from lunch and dinner attendees to pay for food. --- Phil KC9CI is working on updating the membership list. Neal WA9WYI will provide Phil a list of 2010 paid members Lou N9LOU wished to take on issuing membership Certificates or ID cards.

ADJOURNMENT— Terry KA9RFM moved, Pancho KA9OFA seconded and the members voted to adjourn.  DRAWING, Phil KC9CI was the winner.
